TOYS (Teesdale Operatic Youth Society) is our Youth Wing open to all children in the Teesdale area aged 7-18. We aim to do one full scale musical dedicated to just the TOYS section a year, with the option of being involved in the shows the adults do as well.
There is no audition to join TOYS, everyone is welcome. The shows we do will involve auditions for the principal / main roles. Our aim is to give all children the opportunity to sing, act and dance regardless of ability. But there is so much more to gain from being part of this fab group. Making friends with other people who love the same things, experiencing top level musical theatre coaching and performing with live musicians.
What's coming next for TOYS?
Our next musical is......SCHOOL OF ROCK.
> TOYS meet on Monday's during term time at Barnard Castle School from 3.30 -6pm.
> No rehearsals on Monday 19th September (Queen's funeral) and only pre-booked auditions on Monday 26th September.
> Children from ALL schools are welcome, we have members from schools in Barnard Castle, Richmond, Darlington and the surrounding Dales.
> We appreciate the travel time from children outside of the town, our starting time is flexible, just arrive when you can!
> Tuck Shop available each Monday
> We are starting on SCHOOL OF ROCK!!!
FEES
There is a fee of £15 for children to join TOYS and this covers a years membership.
There will also be a Show Fee if your child is cast in SCHOOL OF ROCK.
