TOYS Hardship Fund

We believe that no young person should be prevented from accessing the opportunities we offer here at TOYS because of financial barriers, yet we know that the current cost of living crisis is pushing more-and-more families into financial hardship. We have therefore set up a bursary scheme, which will allow us to give financial assistance to young people that would like to be involved with our projects.

Music, Dance & Drama are for all.

How We Fundraised for the Bursary

On Thursday 18th August - Friday 19th August we staged a 24hr Pian-oke session. Our MD, Richard Dawson played non-stop* for 24hrs and the general public booked singing slots and came and performed. We raised a staggering £1350 for our TOYS Hardship fund, which is an amazing amount and will ensure we can help lots of children be part of TOYS!

*We did allow him the odd loo break!

Applying To The Hardship Fund

To keep the process super easy and simple, the main criteria is that if your child is entitled to free school meals, then you can automatically apply to the hardship fund. If not, but facing financial barriers to your child being involved with TOYS, please do apply. Every application is reviewed on its own merit.

The fund will pay towards the following:

  • A years membership to TOYS of £15 per child

  • The Show Fee for any shows your child is involved in during that year. For example, the School of Rock Show Fee is £40, this would be covered.

  • One T Shirt or Hoodie per show your child is involved in during that year.
